Hey all!
Today has been a very productive day. I finished some cozy new items I've been working on the past week and I think they'll be ready to put up in the shop soon. Still working out color schemes and such, but I've got my new patterns nailed down which is the biggest thing. Cup cozies/sleeves are something I've had on my mind for a while because I like having a reusable and unique cozy for my coffee. (Go ahead and be jealous that my latte is cuter than yours. But don't worry, soon you can have your own that's just as cute.) But for real, reusable for the win. Cute, eco freindly, snuggly and soft; who else is excited? :D Scarves! Yes, I have noticed the lack of scarves in the shop and I'm working on it. See, I like reeeally long scarves. And until now I've been struggling to find a perfect length. One that can be wrapped around your neck multiple times for ultimate coziness while not being totally impractical if you don't want to bundle it up so much. I've finally found that goldielocks length of scarf. It may not seem like a very important thing to consider, but I don't want to sell anything that I myself wouldn't like wearing. It's meant taking out a lot of stitches and starting over multiple times, But it's worth it. If anyone has comments on what they love in a scarf, I'm all ears. So that's about it for news this week. As we approach the holiday season there's gonna be a lot more sweet stuff in the shop so keep an eye out for weekly updates! -Cori <3

Hi all! Welcome! Thanks for stopping by. This blog will be a place where I talk about the current projects Heather and I are working on for Hooked Yarnwears and otherwise. I'll be going more in-depth about knitting/crocheting works-in-progress, general shop/business stuff, art, and lots more yummy maker tidbits. My goal is to keep you updated on exciting new stuff and give you an inside glimpse of how I work and fit my many projects into my life (or try to anyways).
This week I'm focusing on setting goals for products I want to sell in the shop and planning my personal project deadlines. Back in art school I was horrible about setting realistic deadlines. I always bit off way more than I could chew. Starting Hooked Yarnwear has helped me sooo much in that regard. I've learned what times I can realistically be productve and I'm definitely more real with myself about how much I can get done during those times. My busy schedule is also why you probably see a LOT more of Heather on our Instagram than you see me. Truth is, I'm not great at social media (even though I'm getting better) and it's tough for me to find the motivation to post often. What can I say, I'd rather be knitting! But it IS important. I'm not super social, but I do love to talk about my craft. That's why this blog is a perfect way for me to get excited and share stuff with you. That's a pretty long first post. Good job, Corinna. *pats self on back* So thanks for tagging along and checking out my new blog! I guess I'll see ya soon! -Cori |
